I had a ...LOOOOVE Monty Python's Flying Circus. I had a couple of old videotapes of the show back when I was in college, and wore them out. Got the full DVD set a few years later. This was the basis for most of my current comedic appreciation. I have actually LEARNED a good bit about literature, history and general British culture from watching this show! <br /><br />From there, I was on to Fawlty Towers and pretty much every decent British comedy from there until now.
