Fylleryd Shawl

Unfortunately not Halloweeny, but I did finish a shawl. Want to see it?

Fylleryd Shawl

(I should use this clothesline in photos more often.)

From the pattern Fylleryd on Ravelry.

This shawl hasn't been blocked yet, but I don't think this yarn will hold it very well. It's a fancy-shmancy acrylic yarn that my neighbor bought for crafts for her granddaughter and then gave to me when the girl didn't end up using it.

Here's a closer look:

This will either be a gift to someone someday or will be for sale up at my Etsy store when it reopens with actual products.

Compulsive Knitting

I meant to have things to post here properly, but I had this incredibly nagging urge to start knitting a shawl:

More on that as it progresses.

Works in Progress

These will be gifts for friends and family, so I'm not going to give away much, but I just finished these two lovely beauties .

And I also finished this, but it's not as impressive, I'm afraid.

Leaf Shawl

Leaf Shawl

I was just browsing around for interesting patterns a few weeks ago, and I came across this Candle Flame Shawl pattern. I liked how the pattern looked and I had this shiny green yarn left over from several Harry Potter projects.

I'm really pleased with the end product, especially the top band. I didn't really understand the pattern directions for that part and was afraid that I would completely mess up the whole piece. Luckily it all worked out and it looks delightfully Elvish.

Also, my mother keeps coming in here to steal it. It'll be up for sale on my Etsy page soon, so if you want it, hurry up and check it out!
